Thank goodness for milk thistle. My forehead acne has cleared up and my face looks much less inflamed and flaky, in a matter of two weeks. I don’t have chronic acne but after a stressful year my face started suffering. I did feel nauseated for 4-5 days with each dose but pushed through and so glad I did. They say this is part of the detoxifying process. My mood is better and my stomach issues have improved so much – I do believe I developed a peptic ulcer 2 years ago and can’t tolerate foods like eggs or acidic foods like I could before without sharp pain and bloating and constipation for the next couple days. I am 31 and had an uneventful 20s, medically speaking, so these conditions were upsetting, to say the least. I saw a GI doctor, reluctantly, in October and she brushed off my symptoms as “just your body not being able to take the abuse of spicy and acidic foods anymore” and recommended a PPI but my gut ( no pun intended) told me to try milk thistle after reading about its beneficial detoxifying properties. I was tired of feeling tired and connected the dots that my stress was manifesting itself into gut problems. I am not eschewing medicine, but would rather start with a natural route first. I still don’t eat eggs but the relief from acne and GI issues has been so encouraging. My pants feel looser, so perhaps after a couple months I will have lost a few pounds. Too soon to tell at the moment. If you feel blocked up and notice a difference in your appearance due to stress, with low energy and irritability as I did, give milk thistle a try. Once I finish the bottle, I will give an update. As a side note, I have not altered my diet since starting it, so I am a now a believer in the power of this great plant.

Was in a bad place last fall and after binging for quite a while had blood work for insurance – what? workout everyday eat right and my liver enzymes and cholesterol are high? Never had a bad test result in my life – at 49 y/o look and feel 30 honestly – but apparently my new ‘habit’ was catching up with me. Needless to say looked and searched for remedies. Found this NOW Liver Detox and regen. and both my wife and I can vouch IT WORKS! I have seen previous results within 6 weeks, but I can’t vouch for that fast as we have both just had our annual checkups and its been since October (so after 8mos) of 3/day – open capsule and use in our post workout morning protein shake – levels went from scary high to the VERY BOTTOM of the range – flying colors. Added bonus, with all the hard work not only are ALT,AST and Chol low, but HDL(good chol) double the hi mark and have lost 14 pounds. I’ve also as a side plug been taking L-Arginine Plus which also helps with bp and heart issues and my bp was LOWEST ON RECORD. l-arginine dot com – will leave a review their after this post. Truly Thank God for finding this stuff and putting us back on the healthy couple track – and yes, stopped the binging and have a beer or two here and there and a glass of red wine just about every day so not totally jumped off but made huge changes. The results speak for themselves – hope this sheds some light in your case.

Well, the liver is the seat of anger according to Metaphysics. If you carry anger it affects your liver. If you take in toxic substances and your liver is over worked you will be irratible (anger). Which came first the chicken or the egg. Who knows but I can say that I take 3 a day, along with cutting down on my coffee and ciggarettes are much less. I took these first and noticed I had less anger or a bet a better sense of well being/? That in turn, along with much insight and thought, led me to the path of being albeit keep a regime of less coffee and cigarettes (yes I know they are bad for you however I am in perfect health, perfect weight, no glasses at 45 years old just those two vices). That being said, I do feel that my liver is slowly improving, I occasionally will put a castor oil pack on my abdomen at night (google Edgar Cayce castor oil pack) just to be kind to my liver. I have no interest in alcohol so that has n o effect on my liver. I just want to treat my body better, eventually quit coffee and cigarettes, and exercise more. My relationship with my children is better since I am more tolerant – less irritable – more understanding and I do believe taking these liver detoxifier pills are a key to that.

Our liver is a complex organ called upon to filter all manner of toxins from our bloodstream. The idea of assisting in that endeavor is not controversial. I became interested in doing so while I was taking a long term medication that is known to challenge the liver so much so that part way through the treatment, my doctor mandated I take a blood test to be sure my system was handling the stress well. Having taken Liver Refresh during this time it was interesting to see how the liver enzyme test would go. Sure enough my liver enzymes were well within the normal range, an even better result than previous blood panels prior to the medication and self treatment with Liver Refresh. Even though I no longer take that challenging medication I still take Liver Refresh as an assist to the challenges of a toxin rich environment in which we live.

I like this supplement. Rounds out my nutrition. Any extra help I can give my liver is great.

It works really well on my liver. I love it and highly recommend it.

Three years ago I was diagnosed with fatty liver disease. I watched my ALT and AST steadily rise way beyond the standard range. Several months ago I started taking a “liver cocktail”, if you will, that includes these NOW Detoxifier and Regenerator capsules along with Himalaya Liver Care capsules. I take one capsule of each daily. One at night and the other in the morning. Just recently had blood work done and amazingly my ACT, ALT and all the rest of my metabolic components were completely normal. Both supplements have completely different ingredients so I have no idea which one is more beneficial, but the combination is working so I’m going to stick with it.

Like with all vitamins, you have to take the info with a grain of salt. Depending on your body and lifestyle. Together with proper low fat diet, this worked great for me. You have to try it for atleast 6 weeks or so to see any results. I recommend a blood test before and after to verify how well it may work for you.

I did not have lab tests on my liver nor do I have a problem so I did not see or feel any effects that I can measure. I am sure it has helped since I have occasional alcohol on weekends. I think its a great idea to clean the liver every few months. Also Spirulina is supposed to help greatly with a fatty liver per Examine website. I now take this each morning.
