This works really well for skin and hair. I think I had mites in my hair because of constant itching but now it’s gone when I put a few drops in my hand with shampoo. It also adds a nice texture and thickness to my hair when mixing a few drops in conditioner. The scent isn’t too pleasant but it’s manageable. I also use a few drops in with my moisturizer day and night and I really can see a difference in my skin. I can’t put my finger on what is different but my complexion seems to be more even toned and smooth and I think I can even see that it made these creases on cheek pads diminish considerably, which I am thrilled because I thought perhaps the creases were here to stay due to 25+ years of pulling and pressing cheeks when putting in contacts all these years. Now I’m starting to wonder if other people’s reviews are correct, that rosacea and or acne is caused by the demodex mites and the subsequent bacteria and other residues…they leaves behind. The oil is very orange but I have olive skin and am very tan so the oil doesn’t appear to make my face orange. I’m also taking biotin supplements so that could also be a contributing factor. I will continue to use the oil once I stop the biotin to see if I get continued results. Nonetheless the oil does stop the scalp itching and or kill demodex mites.

I like the orangey color of this oil , that is from the carotenoids which is anti aging

I am probably on my 6th bottle of this stuff. Plus, I’ve bought several bottles for friends who also liked it. It was recommended by my doctor for calming my acne prone skin and plumping it up, making lines less noticeable. This plant was prized for centuries by people around its Tibetan natural habitat. It nourishes the skin with more than a 100 biologically active nutrients, making it generally healthier and balances its acidity with linoleic acid and vitamin E.I like the seed oil rather than the berry version. Staining is not a problem with the seed and I think it is more effective. I’ve taken to adding a few drops of it to a vitamin C/hyaluronic serum (there are many out there) to try to boost its anti wrinkle properties. Alas, I still do not look like a teenager but it should give everyone who uses it healthier younger looking skin.

Like having an oil that provides healthy Omega and Vitamin E. Absorbs into skin well, does not leave any tint and does not rub off, so no staining either. Nice addition as I also use argan and black seed oil. Plan to buy again. I also use their softgels which provide both seed oil and berry oil.

I have problem skin. A touch of rosacea, a touch of regular outbreaks and combination skin. Whatever this stuff is, it worked on an area of patchy under the skin breakouts and redness on my chin that would NOT go away with my usual methods. Trust me when I say I was desperate, so I rubbed a thin layer of this on and the next morning it was just about completely GONE. Thinking this might be a fluke, I tried it later on some other areas with similar results. It seems to work best on things that are already bad. I am still experimenting with using it preventively. I would recommend this pricier organic version because its going on your face and you probably already put enough stuff on your body that is not great for you. It does seem to be a good product. It comes with a glass dropper and a drop or two is all you need, meaning one bottle will last a long time. I had NEVER heard of this oil before, and in fact read about it here for the frist time, and given how well it worked on that troublesome area on my odd skin, I think anyone with rosacea should absolutely try this. I also recommend trying it on different areas of the face for different kinds of breakouts. You might find it works better for some things than others.

Just a disclaimer: I bought and use this for the purpose of skincare use.I bought this product a month or so ago and have been using it religiously every day, morning and night, in my skincare routine. I heard about it from a YouTube beauty guru who said it was good for those who are acne-prone or who have active breakouts because it calms the skin. She uses the oil from the Sibu Beauty brand but decided to go for this one because of the better reviews. I don’t regret my decision. I absolutely love this product as of late for multiple reasons. The oil is moisturizing for the face but doesn’t leave my combination oily skin greasy. The skin can get greasy if I use any more than 2 small drops (placed in the palm of my hand and rubbed together with the other to warm up) just as with every other oil I’ve tried (or in general). I also found that it definitely calms down any active breakouts. Every natural product has a pungent smell to it, and this product is not an exception. Even though I never mind stinky products, I had to get used to the smell of this one because I use Shiseido’s Ibuki skincare line and Shiseido is a highly perfumed brand, and the mix of scents was overpowering. However, the scent of this oil dissipates as soon as it’s absorbed into the skin, and that takes about a minute or so which I spend gently patting the oil into my skin. It does not leave an orange tint to the skin. I will mention that the dropper doesn’t screw onto the bottle correctly anymore, but I believe that was my fault because I may have accidentally screwed it on too aggressively and it bent the dropper slightly to the side. All in all, this is a fantastic oil that I’ll be using all year round.

I am reviewing this product because it changed everything for me. I have never written a review before but I think it’s worth it if I can help other people who have Rosacea. I am 28 years old and have been suffering from mild to severe Rosacea for the past 3 years. I have taken anti-biotics, over the counter vitamins, watched hours of videos, seen about 10 different doctors, bought cookbooks in attempt to change my diet and nothing has shown results like Seabuck Thorn Seed Oil. My biggest problem has been the cysts that form and stay for months, the dry patches of skin that just keep flaking and the raw red look to my cheeks that many people have mistaken for birth marks. It’s embarrassing to have skin problems as an adult and I have tried everything to figure out why this has been happening. After receiving it in the mail I started using it every day twice a day. Within days I noticed a dramatic different. The cysts disappeared and my skin was no longer flaking. I have been using it for about 4 months now and my skin has almost completely cleared up. It does take time and if I skip a night I will get pustules the next day. I have started using it only at night now because it is very noticeable when you use it since it’s so oily and I’d prefer not to walk around in public looking like I have olive oil all over my face. Some people complain about the smell and that it doesn’t absorb well but if you have been suffering from Rosacea like me, those things won’t matter to you when it starts working.

*UPDATE (08/21/2020): The oil has gone rancid with over a half of a bottle left. Oil keeps coming out where the cap and dropper meet on the outside. Air is probably getting in through there causing it all to spoil.*UPDATE: There was a glob of what I’m hoping is solidified sea buckthorn seed oil stuck to the dropper when I went to use the product today. Ew. Hopefully it’s nothing bad but probably explains the cloudiness I had been noticing in the oil in the dropper. I don’t know what caused this, I don’t refrigerate the oil. Will follow-up with manufacturer.*******************************************************Original: I use 2-3 small drops on my face morning and night after cleansing. It doesn’t seemto absorb as well as I’m accustomed to with seabuckthorn seed oil but maybe it’s because the summer is hot and humid and this oil appears to be richer than another brand I just switched from.I do have some breakouts from this oil. I’m hoping it’s just purging clogged pores and healing my skin rather than being the cause of it.The scent is a pungent earthy, nutty smell. Much stronger than its popular competitor.Unfortunately, the bottle arrived with dried product on it because it leaked from not being properly sealed at the dropper. However, Amazon was great with rectifying the issue.

I have only been using this for less than a week and my opinion so far is that it is a wonderful product. I have tried numerous products including some very, very expensive ones to try to offset the damage sun, smoking, and age has had on my skin. In the short time I have been using this product I have noticed a clarifying affect. It has not miraculously turned back the signs of aging or abuse but my skin is more even toned and softer. I use this product as per the directions twice a day, morning and night. It does indeed have the smoky scent that others have mentioned. I find it very earthy and not overpowering. And it does subside. I highly recommend the product and wish that I had found it 30 years ago. It is my intent to do an update after a month or so as I have learned it takes that long to truly see and feel the affects of any new product introduced to ones skin.

This stuff is magic! My skin manages to be both extremely oily and extremely dry, have enormous pores on my cheeks and nose, be very prone to breakouts, sensitive to chemicals, dark circles and tear troughs, and I have some sort of rosacea redness that always lingers on my cheeks. Not a great combination. This stuff, though, somehow manages to lighten my dark circles, moisturize my dry areas, doesn’t aggravate my acne or make oiliness worse, and even soothes some of my redness. I had never ordered from this brand before, but given that it didn’t cause me to break out I’d say it’s pretty pure. The oil is a dark yellowish color, but doesn’t leave any color residue on skin and soaks in quite nicely. A little, as in a few drops for my whole face, goes a long way. I only use at night after washing my face, and like that my skin isn’t oily in the morning when I wake up. Great product!
