Is Nescafe Coffee Halal?
Are Nescafe Coffee Products Halal Both the Quran and Hadith state that caffeine is permissible. Though it does give a mild high which could be considered intoxicating, when taken responsibly in moderation it should not cause intoxication or become habit-forming. Caffeine extracted from animals (haram or otherwise) would not be permissible while caffeine from plants or halal animal fat sources is acceptable and considered halal.
Nescafe 3in1 Original is considered halal by eHalal as it does not contain any forbidden ingredients, though e471 could potentially come from either halal or non-halal sources; animal fat would make the product halal while pork sources will render it forbidden.
