Is RYZE Mushroom Coffee Black Owned?
RYZE mushroom coffee is an innovative morning beverage that combines instant coffee with medicinal mushrooms such as Cordyceps, Lion’s Mane Reishi Shiitake and Turkey Tail to boost mental clarity, aid digestion and even promote heart health. According to its maker’s claims this combination may boost mental clarity improve digestion as well as provide cardiovascular protection.
Andree Werner and Rashad Hossain, Harvard alumni who founded RYZE together, offer a variety of adaptogenic mushroom products – such as their signature mushroom coffee. Each item contains limited levels of caffeine compared to a typical cup. As an independent company that uses only ethically-sourced ingredients (organically-grown mushrooms are regularly tested for mycotoxins; coffee beans are ethically-sourced as well) this small business uses sustainable practices to operate.
Nutritionally speaking, the mushrooms used by RYZE can be difficult to assess. Although its ingredient list provides pertinent details like calories and protein levels, it lacks data regarding vitamins and minerals such as B vitamins, C vitamins, D vitamins, potassium selenium etc. The company website mentions these presences of these vitamins but these do not appear in its nutrition facts section of product. Furthermore, it remains unknown if RYZE blend contains whole mushrooms instead of extracts.
Proprietary blends like those from RYZE can be troublesome because their effectiveness can’t always be established. While their blend contains ingredients which have been studied, its quantities often do not correspond with those used in clinical studies – for instance, 2g of whole mushroom per serving from this company compared with the usual range of 3-7 grams found in many clinical studies.
Consumers seem to love RYZE nonetheless. Many claim it offers a subtle mushroom taste without the earthiness associated with such beverages, while others appreciate how it helps energize them in the morning without creating anxiety or jitters.
RYZE’s primary draw is its affordability; however, the price can still be prohibitive for some customers. Although available at Walmart, its retailer pricing of $82 per 30-serving bag exceeds RYZE’s subscriber pricing of $36/bag.
RYZE offers various subscription plans that enable users to save money while getting regular coffee deliveries. Before trying RYZE supplements, it is wise to consult a physician, especially if you have preexisting conditions or take prescription medicines; mushroom extracts may interact with blood-thinning medications.
