This is the one probiotic product that has worked for me so far. I like it. The probiotics included in “flora biotect” are strains backed by solid research with positive benefits shown in reputable studies. I suspect that not all probiotics out there are good for your health. Why?Research “L Carnitine + gut bacteria + heart disease” and you will see some interesting new facts pointing to an interesting theory:”Researchers have now laid the blame on bacteria in the human gut that convert a common nutrient found in beef into a compound that may speed up the build-up of plaques in the arteries.” — Nature, International weekly journal of sciencePersonally, I currently plan to stick to taking plant derived probiotics like those found in “flora biotect” and I will keep eating a mostly nutritarian / plant focused diet until more is known. Could taking probiotics get your gut bacteria back in line and allow us to eat a variety of foods not normally considered “heart healthy” and stay completely “healthy”? The research on probiotics and health are being conducted right now so I plan to stay tuned to see what new discoveries come from it. It’s very exciting indeed.

I have had very good results with this formula and these strains contained in Flora Biotect. I had tried a couple of other brands with okay results. I came home from a trip to Asia with a very bad gut after an infection — most likely parasitic. I tried a couple of other probiotics which helped a bit. Yet I do think when I started using Flora Biotect I finally reached a healing of my gut. One reason I turned to this brand is that years ago I went to nutrition school and heard Dr. Fuhrman speak at conferences. I thought he was very knowledgeable and I knew he would produce a good quality product with the patient/client in mind. I recommend it.

This product has worked miracles for me. It took 4 to 6 months for me to realize the full effect. I can now eat almost anything I want within reason. I do not go without this product. I began by taking it twice a day and now just take one before I eat in the morning and it works all day.

I will pay more for this formula as I have an autoimmune disease that affects every organ system including the gut. Thankfully, This formula has relieved my severe stomach issues. Definitely not cheap, but neither is the quality.

I’d like to find a less expensive alternative. However, after taking for a couple months, I stopped and really noticed a negative impact with bloating and mild weight gain after quitting so I started again. Apparently, the cultures they use are among the most expensive, so it’s not just a jacked-up price, but I’m going to search for something in the $25-$30 range instead….
