Ganoderma Green Tea and Reishi Mushroom
Hypertension and cardiovascular diseases sufferers can now find some comfort as local scientists have unveiled an innovative product made with green tea and Lingzhi mushroom (Ganoderma lucidum; Lingzhi), designed to strengthen immunity while treating chronic illnesses.
Studies conducted have demonstrated that Ganoderma extract has both immunoenhancing and cardioprotective properties.
Antioxidants
Antioxidants can help defend against damage caused by free radicals in our bodies, which are known to contribute to high blood pressure, high cholesterol and inflammation. Ganoderma green tea‘s antioxidants may help mitigate such health problems while improving sleep quality and strengthening immunity – although please keep in mind that taking ganoderma tea alone should never replace visiting a physician for advice or diagnosis.
Ganoderma mushrooms contain polysaccharides, which are complex sugars with anti-inflammatory and immune-enhancing effects, as well as triterpenoids – compounds with proven health benefits for treating high blood pressure, diabetes and arthritis among other conditions. Furthermore, beta-glucan present within them has also been proven to lower blood sugar levels while improving insulin sensitivity among people living with diabetes.
Ganoderma mushrooms have long been used as part of traditional systems of medicine. When dried and powdered for use as dietary supplements to harness their pharmacological effects, Ganoderma mushrooms have been touted for therapeutic benefits for cardiovascular disease, high blood pressure and cancer among many other conditions.
One study demonstrated that combining green tea and Ganoderma mushroom extract significantly amplified its anticancer properties against human breast cancer cells, with particular focus on inhibiting cell growth, colony formation and expression of oncogene c-myc.
Another study suggests that Ganoderma green tea can significantly lower blood pressure for humans with normal or elevated blood pressure by improving circulation and decreasing lipid content in their blood. Ganoderma mushrooms also helped prevent lipid oxidation while simultaneously increasing production of nitric oxide.
Ganoderma green tea is generally safe for most adults to drink; however, it is wise to consult a healthcare provider prior to beginning any new dietary supplements or regimens containing Ganoderma tea, particularly if there is an existing medical condition or medications that could interact negatively.
Polysaccharides
Studies have revealed that Ganoderma lucidum polysaccharides (LGP) exhibit numerous therapeutic activities. They demonstrate immunomodulatory, cytoprotective, antitumor, anti-inflammatory and antioxidant activities; plus they have even been demonstrated to support heart health by helping balance blood pressure. Unfortunately however, not all compounds have yet been tested in human clinical trials.
Conventionally, polysaccharides can be detected using various biochemical techniques; however, these approaches tend to be expensive and use chemicals like phenol or anthrone that could cause environmental harm. Non-destructive infrared spectroscopic approaches have recently emerged as an attractive option for quantifying polysaccharides.
In this study, 51 in vitro axenic preservation Ganoderma strains – including 38 G. lingzhi, 7 G. applanatum, and 3 G. sinense strains – were assessed for LGP content using mid-infrared spectroscopy; their mycelia were cultured for 7 days, 14 days, 21 days before LGP content analysis took place using mid-infrared spectroscopy analysis; as well as their morphological differences during fermentation stages were evaluated.
Once LGP samples were analyzed, they were lyophilized and ground into powder for further analyses. A total of 140 g of dried powder was placed into 70 degC hot water for two hours to extract its polysaccharide supernatant, then concentrated using rotary vacuum concentrator technology into 850 ml vacuum-concentrated sample before precipitating with 3.4 L of ethanol for final water-soluble polysaccharide (GLPS).
Contrary to other teas that are predominantly consumed as beverages, this drink is intended for direct absorption into the body. Its beta-glucans have long been recognized for their ability to strengthen your defense mechanisms against pathogens while stimulating cell activity. Furthermore, this herbal remedy supports natural detoxification processes in your body by lowering blood pressure and improving immunity – taking two doses a day is recommended; please keep in mind it shouldn’t be given to children, pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers or intended as an alternative medication treatment plan.
Triterpenoids
Ganoderma lucidum mushrooms contain triterpenoids, compounds with medicinal properties. Triterpenoids have long been utilized as adaptogens in traditional Asian medicine to combat stress and fatigue; additionally they act as antioxidants which protect healthy cells against free radical damage that could otherwise occur due to free radical exposure, thus slowing the aging process as a whole. Many people also drink Ganoderma tea to enhance concentration and mental alertness.
Ganoderma green tea is created using green tea extract and ganoderma mushroom, with non-fermented leaves having a mild flavor. By combining these two ingredients, Ganoderma gives Ganoderma Green Tea its unique taste and health benefits; providing immune boosting, memory improvement, reduced high blood pressure (it works at the cellular level to stop build-up in blood vessels that could lead to heart disease), memory improvements and blood pressure reduction benefits all combined together.
Scientists recently conducted a study that demonstrated how Ganoderma Lucidum extract can effectively prevent tumor growth and decrease cell invasiveness by stimulating apoptosis (programmed cell death) within tumor cells as well as increasing secretion of Urokinase Plasminogen Activator (uPA), an enzyme used for clot lysis and tumor regression. As such, these researchers concluded that Ganoderma Extract can serve as an effective chemotherapeutic agent against cancer.
Ganoderma contains antioxidant chemicals that can be utilized in creating various dietary supplements and natural medicines, often touted as solutions to various health issues like heart disease or diabetes. Unfortunately, evidence for these claims remains contradictory due to different formulations or study populations involved. Large controlled clinical studies are needed in order to ascertain any possible potential benefits from Ganoderma supplements in terms of cardiometabolic disease prevention or treatment.
Taken alongside a healthy diet, supplements like Ganoderma green tea can help ensure a healthier future. By fighting free radicals that damage our bodies and getting enough restful sleep to manage stress levels, taking supplements like this one may help maintain good health.
Reishi Mushroom
Reishi mushrooms (Ganoderma lucidum) have long been held in high regard in China as the “herb of spiritual potency.” Today, however, they are widely recognized for their powerful anti-inflammatory and antitumoral effects as well as triterpenes containing isoprene units which have numerous therapeutic uses. Reishi can be consumed via various methods including boiling for tea; however this process could potentially damage some important medicinal compounds; for this reason it is best extracted using alcohol as in tinctures in order to preserve all essential compounds.
Reishi mushroom has also been shown to help strengthen immune function and lower blood pressure, providing an abundance of beta-glucans which stimulate immune cells while simultaneously inhibiting tumor growth. Furthermore, antiviral and antibacterial effects have also been observed with regular consumption; additionally acting as mild sedatives providing a sense of tranquility during sleep quality improvements.
Reishi has also been demonstrated to possess antioxidant properties, providing protection from cell damage and improving overall cellular health. This is of critical importance as oxidative stress plays an integral part in many diseases – heart disease and cancer in particular. Additionally, Reishi contains strong anti-inflammatory qualities which may reduce symptoms associated with fibromyalgia.
Reishi can increase energy levels by stimulating metabolism and helping break down fats. Studies have also demonstrated its calming effect and found it can reduce fatigue among breast cancer patients.
Add Reishi to Green Tea is an effortless and convenient way to experience its healing properties.
