Health Benefits of Turmeric Mushroom Tea
Turmeric is known for its earthy flavor and vibrant ochre hue, but did you know it can also provide health benefits?
Mushroom tea is created by blending together various edible mushroom species. As they steep, mushrooms release various medicinal and nutritional properties into the boiling water that contribute to creating this beverage.
Benefits
Turmeric has been one of the hottest root vegetables recently, and its health benefits are only just making their way into Western medicine. Turmeric is best-known for its natural anti-inflammatory properties as well as helping with digestive issues like IBS, constipation and bloating; furthermore it stimulates bile flow to improve digestion and absorption of nutrients. Furthermore, turmeric may help lower blood sugar levels by slowing the rate of glucose absorption into cells. It’s an excellent addition for those living with diabetes by slowing its rate of glucose absorption into cells thereby helping keep blood sugar at normalized levels by slowing its rate of absorption into cells thereby helping stabilized by slowing glucose from reaching cells where blood vessels end up.
Turmeric contains an antioxidant called curcumin that may provide some pain relief to people suffering from arthritis and joint discomfort. Curcumin may help reduce joint inflammation caused by age or injury, and may help treat conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, tendinitis and Crohn’s disease as well as fibromyalgia or lupus.
Turmeric tea contains not only its medicinal properties, but also health-promoting mushrooms like Reishi and Turkey Tail that may offer additional health benefits. Reishi is known for its adaptogenic properties which support healthy immune function while simultaneously relieving stress-relief effects and improving cognitive function – it’s often combined with other medicinal mushrooms for energy boost and brain health benefits.
Turkey tail mushrooms have long been recognized for their medicinal uses. Commonly used to treat conditions like Leaky Gut Syndrome and fatigue, turkey tail can help with digestion issues like indigestion, bloating and fatigue while providing prebiotics that balance gut microflora balance.

Preparation
Turmeric root, a relative of ginger, contains curcumin, an anti-inflammatory known to help with weight loss, joint health issues, inflammation, arthritis pain management and cancer prevention. This potency tea blends it with immune-enhancing mushrooms such as Reishi and Chaga to give an antioxidant rich beverage with soothing qualities and boost your immunity – perfect for warming beverages that soothe senses while strengthening immune systems!

To create this turmeric mushroom tea, begin by filling a kettle with filtered water and bringing it to a boil. Next, you must wash lemon slices, turmeric root slices and ginger slices before peeling (using a spoon if possible), peeling (again using the spoon method), chopping into chunks and adding with cinnamon sticks and freshly ground black pepper in a saucepan before turning off heat – leaving all of these aromatic ingredients together will allow your turmeric root to absorb flavor from other ingredients as it has its chance to do its work – before straining and placing this concoction into an airtight jar before being placed back into storage!
While your mixture cools, combine coconut oil and honey. Turmeric is fat-soluble and best absorbed when consumed alongside some form of fat; hence adding coconut oil can facilitate absorption more easily. Stirring until a paste forms is advised.
Once the mixture has set, add it to your favorite mug and sprinkle some cocoa powder for an elegant finishing touch. Enjoy while warm or store in the fridge to be enjoyed later during the day!
This recipe is suitable for vegans and can easily be altered to be dairy-free as well. Turmeric can generally be consumed safely; however, those with gallstones or those on blood thinners should be wary about using turmeric.
Storage

Under low heat, mix all ingredients until a thick paste forms, stirring frequently until desired thickness has been reached. Add coconut oil for enhanced absorption if desired and pour into an airtight jar to cool before refrigerating before use as either a drink, soup base, stew enhancement or topping homemade yogurts!
