Tea can be soothing on an empty stomach and is a wonderful way to start off any day, but when that same tea also contains healing properties it becomes far more than simply an enjoyable beverage – it becomes an elixir full of benefits, from inflammation reduction and anxiety relief, immunity boosting benefits and detoxifying processes. Making mushroom tea yourself allows you to customize it according to your personal taste while being extremely simple to prepare!

Making homemade tea requires just three ingredients: mushrooms (either dried or fresh shrooms), tea, and water. Before adding the mushrooms and tea to it, however, make sure your water has reached a boil first – using either a kettle or saucepan is fine for this process. In addition, use a strainer or coffee filter to separate your tea from its source material as well as any flavor enhancers you may add for optimal results.

Once your water has boiled, add in your mushrooms and tea, simmering the mixture slowly for 10-15 minutes before adding lemon juice if using this technique. Note that high temperatures will degrade psilocybin found in magic mushrooms so try to maintain an ambient temperature as much as possible.

Strain your mixture into another pot or mug, and add any additional flavorings or medicinal herbs you wish to your blend. Use any combination of herbs such as hibiscus, licorice root, green or black tea as desired for extra flavor and health benefits; these additions may help mask any earthiness associated with mushrooms; alternatively you could opt for classic flavors instead.

Simply sweeten your tea with honey or other preferred sweetener and garnish it with ginger slices if you like; doing this may increase mushroom absorption and speed up its effects faster, and give you plenty of time to sit back and sip away at its benefits! Now it’s time for sipping away!
