How to Add Reishi Mushroom in Your Coffee
Mushroom coffee is an innovative morning beverage that replaces caffeine with an infusion of medicinal mushrooms such as reishi, chaga and lion’s mane for an energy boost and to help combat stress and anxiety.
Mushrooms contain numerous natural compounds that our bodies can easily absorb, such as polysaccharides, proteoglycans and beta-glucans. These phytochemicals offer numerous health benefits such as immune system support, blood sugar regulation, cardiovascular protection, stress reduction and stress alleviation.
To create mushroom coffee at home, simply brew your usual coffee with an addition of reishi mushroom powder. We recommend choosing whole fruiting bodies over mycelium grown varieties as these tend to be more potency and contain less fillers – and that its pH remains relatively neutral as this indicates quality coffee!
Start out with a small amount of mushroom powder and gradually increase it until you find a balance that suits your personal tastes and preferences. Choose any brewing method you like best, be it french press, percolator, pour-over setup or automatic drip machine brewing methods.
Purchase high-quality mushroom extracts in bulk to save both time and money while being more environmentally-friendly, as this will allow for a more concentrated dosage of each mushroom species. Real Mushrooms’ mushroom extracts are made from whole fruiting bodies to maximize nutritional content and flavor; this method offers greater convenience compared to buying premade dietary mushroom packets which may include multiple species along with fillers like wheat.
