How to Make Homemade Mushroom Tea
Psilocybin mushrooms have long been associated with enhanced creativity and spiritual exploration, yet individual experiences may vary significantly based on where and when the mushroom are consumed as well as any adverse side effects they cause. One popular way of taking Psilocybin is through making mushroom tea.
Mushroom tea is a liquid infusion made by steeping dried or fresh mushrooms in hot water for 30-60 minutes to ensure maximum therapeutic benefit. This process breaks down their tough cell walls made primarily of chitin, extracting water-soluble compounds into the tea for maximum therapeutic extraction. Simmer for approximately one hour in order to maximize therapeutic extraction.
To create mushroom tea, start by finely chopping or grinding your mushrooms into small pieces, which will expose more surface area for the psilocybin to infuse quickly into your tea. Bring water to a boil, add spices such as ginger root/chopped cinnamon stick/cardamom pods/cloves etc, stirring well; then gradually stir in ground shrooms as the simmer gently for 15-20 minutes before straining your mixture and drinking!
Lemon juice can greatly enhance the flavor and make tea taste better, as well as helping remove any bitterness in the brew and increasing absorption rates for psilocybin into your system.
If you intend on taking more than one dose of tea at once, storing it in the fridge in an airtight container will help preserve its beneficial properties and avoid picking up unwanted flavors from other ingredients in your fridge.
Mushroom tea is generally considered safe to consume in moderation; excessive consumption could result in digestive discomfort or allergic reactions in some individuals. Also, drinking large quantities of milk with your tea could prevent effective absorption.
An alternative way of creating mushroom tea is using mushroom powder rather than whole mushrooms, as this approach is much simpler and can still produce an effective cup of tea. Only difference: this method requires shorter infusion time but may make straining out solids from your cup more challenging; using a coffee filter or nut milk bag could come in handy here. No matter which method you select to prepare your mushroom tea, we advise starting with a low dose and gradually increasing it until reaching an ideal serving size. When taking medicine it is important to do it in an environment and state of mind conducive to relaxation – the more open and relaxed you are when taking medication, the greater will be its effect and impact.
