How to Make Mushroom Tea
Mushroom tea can be one of the best ways to utilize mushrooms, offering subtle earthy notes and full of health-promoting components to support immune health, reduce inflammation, regulate stress levels, lower blood pressure levels, detoxify the body and promote overall well-being.
No matter if it is just one kind of mushroom or a mixture, this article will teach you how to maximize its benefits and enjoy a satisfying drink! Mushroom tea can be consumed hot or cold depending on its desired effect; additional ingredients can also be added for flavor such as ginger, green onions and coriander for even greater customization of taste! Don’t forget you can even combine mushroom tea with pre-cooked noodles or rice for a hearty soup experience!
A basic way of making Reishi mushroom tea involves cutting your Reishi into chunks or, if in powder form, mixing it with 8 cups of water in a pot and simmering it until half of its original volume has evaporated (this process is known as decoction). Decoction is an ideal way of extracting all the flavors and nutrients found within tough mushrooms like Reishi, Many-zoned Polypore or Chaga that might otherwise be hard to access through infusion methods alone.
Once your decoction is ready, strain it into a cup and enjoy! Feel free to add milk of your choice if desired or simply sip as it for an uplifting beverage.
Note of Caution: When making tea from a psilocybin mushroom (such as psychedelic reishi or psilocin) make sure to follow all directions provided with that particular tincture or mushroom tea as this method of consumption often produces stronger and longer-acting effects than other means. Ideally it’s recommended that people take at most three doses a week of such teas in order to reap maximum benefit from them.
Many people choose to make their own mushroom tea blends and sip on these drinks throughout the day, enjoying them throughout their daily activities. Some blends may incorporate both reishi and cordyceps as an energy booster while maintaining mental clarity and stability; other combinations might combine lion’s mane with reishi for mood elevation and brain boost effects.
