How to Preserve Magic Mushroom Tea
As an enthusiastic mushroom tea enthusiast, you can elevate your experience to new levels through proper preparation. However, making tea from mushrooms can sometimes be daunting and time consuming; to ensure an enjoyable trip every time around this article will teach you how to preserve magic mushroom tea for safe and relaxing consumption.
Before using mushrooms to create an unforgettable experience, they must first be chopped into small pieces using either a food processor, mortar and pestle or kitchen scissors or sharp knife. Chopping will enable them to release more of their psilocybin compounds during the brewing process. When they have been cut up properly they should then be chilled in an airtight container until ready to start making tea.
How long you let your tea steep will depend on both the potency of your mushrooms and desired results. A general guideline would be starting with one eighth of a gram and two cups of water before adjusting as necessary; for a stronger effect use more mushrooms and less water; conversely for milder results use less mushrooms with more liquid.
Once you’ve chosen a serving size, it’s time to brew! Bring water to boil before turning off the heat; add chopped mushrooms (sliced or whole), allow the mixture to steep for at least 10 minutes, and strain off any debris from your mixture before straining out as much psilocybin as possible from them.
Once your brew has steeped, strain out the mushrooms with a mesh strainer or cheesecloth before sipping your delicious psilocybin-containing tea! Customize your experience further by adding sweeteners, lemon juice or even herbal varieties that contain additional psilocybin– you could even try pairing this beverage with one or both!
No matter how hard we try, mushroom tea should only ever be stored and consumed safely. Be sure that when taking any psychedelics you always do it with someone present; and most importantly: have fun! Who knows what kind of trip awaits if these tips are followed!
