Is Coconut Milk Coffee Creamer Healthy?
Coffee enthusiasts enjoy customizing their cups by adding various add-ins and sweeteners. From iced to steamed beverages with vanilla or almond flavors or spices such as cinnamon or ginger spice blends – there’s truly something special available to everyone.
But while non-dairy creamers can add depth of flavor to your coffee, many contain hidden vegetable oils, added sugars, and synthetic ingredients that may undermine its research-backed health benefits. That is why more people are turning to coconut milk coffee creamer; made from pure, high-quality ingredients it offers a deliciously natural solution with thick and creamy texture that many prefer over non-dairy alternatives available in stores.
Coconut milk coffee creamer differs from conventional dairy creamers by not using vegetable oil or other unhealthy fillers to achieve light and fluffy consistency. Plus, its naturally gluten-free, vegan and paleo friendly formulation makes it an excellent dairy-free option for those following ketogenic diets – indeed it has become an integral component of bulletproof coffee!
Coconut milk makes an excellent creamer alternative, and I have come to prefer this delicious creamer from Trader Joe’s as my go-to choice! Made using canned light coconut milk and coconut oil, it adds the perfect creamy touch to coffee beverages! For added spice flavoring you could try adding cinnamon or other spices but personally I find this creamer delicious just the way it is!
This dairy-free, non-GMO coconut creamer is sourced directly from farmers and their communities in Peru. Additionally, this coconut creamer is vegan-kosher-certified organic. Additionally, 2.5% ALL GOOD PROMISE ensures a portion of profits go back into local FARMERS, EMPLOYEEs and their FAMILIES in need.
As an alternative, try crafting your own creamy coconut coffee creamer at home! The process is easy and only requires minimal ingredients – simply high-quality canned coconut milk and unrefined organic cold-pressed coconut oil as well as vanilla extract (if desired) plus light agave nectar (I used 2 teaspoons). You may wish to adjust this amount according to taste!
Add MCT oil (medium-chain triglycerides) for added nutritional benefits if you want your creamer to be even healthier. MCTs (medium-chain triglycerides) have been scientifically shown to boost energy levels and support brain and body functions, so MCT oil should be available at any health food store (make sure it comes from organic and ethically sourced sources!).
Assemble all ingredients in a small saucepan and whisk thoroughly until combined. Gently heat over low heat until mixture begins to simmer before removing from heat and placing in glass jar for storage in refrigerator for up to one week before use.
