Is Half Caff Coffee Healthy?
Half caff coffee is an excellent way to reduce caffeine intake. Made by mixing regular and decaffeinated beans in equal portions, half caff contains around 40-50mg per 8oz cup compared with traditional regular coffee, making this an excellent alternative when consumed along with milk.
Both half caff and decaf coffee share similar flavors and aromas; the main distinctions being that half caff contains approximately half the caffeine present in regular coffee while decaf contains no caffeine at all. Decaf is produced by processing beans so as to extract most of their caffeine via methods like Swiss Water Process; this process may alter both flavor and aroma slightly; some might notice subtle variations as a result of its production.
