He’s a king of the road

Roger Miller’s 1965 hit song “King of the Road,” from his album The Return of Roger Miller, celebrated country music road warriors’ carefree lifestyle and became an unexpected crossover hit, charting No.1 for five consecutive weeks on country charts and earning four Grammy awards as well. Legend has it that Miller wrote it while staying in downtown Boise hotel rooms but this cannot be verified as the artist has never confirmed this claim himself.
