La Colombe Coffee Cans – Convenient and Healthy
La Colombe of Philadelphia has made headlines recently by creating quality cold brew in cans – surprising many coffee enthusiasts! Their ready-to-drink draft lattes come packaged in 11 fl oz cans with all of the creamy texture found at their cafes – offering convenient grab-and-go coffee that’s healthier than most alternatives on-the-go.
Cans of cold brew made from beans roasted in-house and creamy milk from a dairy farm are filled with cold brew, while an activation tab opens a pressurized valve at the bottom of each can, releasing nitrous oxide gas to create foam layers on top. As a result, these drinks have all of the taste and texture associated with true cold brew while having half the sugar found in traditional ready-to-drink coffee beverages.
Apart from traditional coffee offerings, the company has also released its inaugural non-dairy RTD — Oatmilk Draft Latte in 9-ounce cans – in response to demand from their vegan customers. This rich and creamy vegan beverage features subtle sweetness from oats with unique texture provided by nitrous oxide infusion technology and comes in three of the same flavors as its dairy counterpart, but contains 50% less sugar compared to typical ready-to-drink coffee beverages.
La Colombe offers its Oatmilk Draft Latte at its cafes, online and select retailers including Wegmans and Harris Teeter nationwide for a suggested retail price of $3.29 per can. It can be enjoyed alone or mixed with vodka and Kahlua to create quick espresso martinis – however if you are following a keto diet this product should be avoided as its carb-rich content could force you out of ketosis.
