I’m a firm believer in vitamin supplements, and I try a lot of them to support my health. When I find one that I like, I continue to take it as needed.Akkermansia is a probiotic supplement that’s periodically in my regime. Based on research online, I see mixed information about the long-term daily use of it, so I take breaks from it sometimes. I suggest you do your own research to decide whether Akkermansia is right for you. It’s a useful supplement, but some researchers say that you don’t want to over-colonize your gut with “A. muciniphila.” Humans have less of it as they get older, but we also need it to help enhance our immune health. Akkermansia is not in your food, but it feeds on fiber (as well as the mucus in your gut). The akkermansia in your gut is also helped by taking omega-3.Codeage is a trusted brand, and I’ve taken several supplements from them before with good results. They typically combine the primary supplement with a supportive one (in this case, chicory, a prebiotic) to make it more effective. I think their prices are reasonable, too. The bottle contains a 90-day supply.

I also read that it helps with bloating, constipation and allows for better metabolizing of nutrients.I’ve tried other supplements from this brand before that were high quality and was curious to try this probiotic/prebiotic when I saw it. There are 90 capsules included in the bottle, with a serving sizer of 1 per day (making this a 3 month supply). The capsules are fairly small, colorless, odorless, tasteless and easy to swallow. I feel good taking it and my bloating is practically nonexistent, even after whole grain bread (my nemesis). I have not noticed other changes yet but I am excited to keep monitoring. I’ve read that this “postbiotic” helps with weight loss and weight control; I am not looking to lose weight per se as my weight is quite healthy however, like most people, I’d be happy to be a few pounds lighter.Overall, this is a interesting product that I will continue monitoring – and this is why I am giving it 4 stars right now.I will update this review if I notice any significant or impressive changes in anything. I feel safe taking this product because it is manufactured in the United States, in a GMP (good manufacturing practices) certified facility.

After being on an antibiotic, I began taking some probiotics. I like that this one also has a prebiotic. I found the capsules to be easy to swallow and there was no taste or odor. I have been mixing them up and taking this one along with a couple of others and it seems to be working fine for me. I haven’t noticed any issues anyway. This is a 90 day supply if you want to take this one straight through.

I have been wanting to try this type of prebiotic-probiotic combo after reading about it and it seems to be working well for me.There are a lot of prebiotics and probiotics out there, so let me just give a brief overview of what you get in this product. The probiotic in this blend is akkermansia, a gut bacteria that consumes mucous and may help with the gut-intestine barrier. The prebiotic is a form of soluble fiber found in chicory root and which can potentially contribute to the growth of beneficial gut bacteria including bifidobacteria and lactobacilli.I like that the serving size is only one capsule, and one bottle has a 3 month supply (90 capsules). It is also vegan, gluten free, soy free, dairy free and non GMO. The capsules don’t have any noticeable smell or taste and are easy to swallow. I did not see anything about having to keep this refrigerated, unlike some of the other probiotics I have tried. It does say to store it in a cool, dry place.This came well sealed in tamper-proof packaging and the expiration date is over 2.5 years in the future, so even if I were to be extremely sporadic about taking this, it would be fine.I am very satisfied and plan to continue taking this.

In my research of this probiotic, the simplest explanation I’ve found is that Akkermansia Muciniphila Probiotic helps improve gut health by increasing the abundance of beneficial bacteria and supporting the integrity of the gut lining. This can improve digestion, and support overall gut health, and potentially offer benefits for conditions like obesity, metabolic syndrome, and inflammation.This probiotic comes from a trusted brand, and overall there aren’t any issues with flavor, capsule size, etc. The one thing to note, as some others have stated, is that the potency advertised is low compared to similar products.

Codeage Probiotic Supplement contains Akkermansia Muciniphila, a different gut bacteria plus Chicory Inulin, a Prebiotic. I’m excited to add this beneficial gut microbe to my digestive system as it’s known to strengthen the intestinal lining so more nutrients could be absorbed from food as well as prevent unwanted stuff like toxins from passing through the intestines into blood circulation.

This is a great dosage for an Akkermansia supplement. 100M CFU is the same amount used in other good quality Akkermansia supplements.The fact that this one contains 90 capsules per serving is a big plus. That’s three times as many servings as the leading akkermansia supplement that I have also tried in the past.I do wish there was more transparency on the particular strain. Seeing the 3rd party testing would be nice to know it’s the real deal.As far as effects, I unfortunately have never noticed any real benefits from Akkermansia supplementation in regards to my gut health, but I do like the research so I take it because of that.Overall – great value for what seems to be a good quality Akkermansia supplement

I like that these are in capsules that make it easy to take. There wasn’t any strong smell that made it hard to swallow either. If you’ve taken those large, stinky prenatal pills these are a walk in the park in comparison. I’m not sure why in the stock photos they were showing it in powder form to put in your coffee/tea but thankfully it is in capsule form. The directions say you can take this with or without food. I have been taking these for a week or so and it hasn’t upset my tummy or anything negative. I can’t exactly say if it is working or not as these things will take long time use for real results. All that said, I do like these because it is easy to take.

This product only has 1/3000 the Akkermansia AFU of the other brands (that seem to be made in the same factory). That said, the AFU is per serving so each capsule has 1/1500 the AFU, but still. On a per AFU basis, it’s 1500x as expensive.
