I took the time to look through just over 500 protein powders. Some looked really great, but were extremely expensive, so I passed over them. But this Maca Up Protein Powder has a perfect ingredient list, and is also at a great price. I was particularly drawn in by the fact that it’s marketed specifically to help build long lean muscles, as well as to help soothe muscles after a workout. It also has a reasonable amount of calories & protein, which I found appealing. I purchased both the Vanilla & Chocolate flavors, and can’t say that I have a favorite. Both are great, with the addition of some liquid stevia to sweeten it. I will say that if you’re looking for a sweet chocolate milk flavor in this, you will be sorely disappointed. Neither the chocolate or vanilla flavors are sweet at all on their own, which is why I add a small amount of liquid stevia to sweeten them with. And again, neither of them have a prominent chocolate or vanilla flavor. The chocolate one does taste like chocolate, but a very subtle chocolate, which I attribute to the clean ingredient list. I added a cup full of strawberries, and 1/2 cup of oats to the vanilla one, along with a dab of liquid stevia & ice, and it was heavenly! These smoothies are great for those who don’t like things overtly sweet, but more on the subtle side. I’m very happy with this purchase, and plan to also get the Acai Up protein powder, which is a berry flavor.

This powder is delicious and has a high amount of plant-based protein and very low sugar and I love it. My only complaint is that when I opened the package it’s only a little above half full. I assumed the container would be closer to full and they don’t even give a full 16 oz. So it ends up being only 14 servings worth of product, which isn’t very much considering the price. I wish the company would fill the container because I feel cheated.

Hey guys,I usually don’t write reviews, but this product has been and will always be my favorite. I’ve been purchasing maca up for three years going onto 4. I started using maca up in 2013, when I was weight training. Maca itself has many health benefits. It’s known to train muscles as well. I added healthy fats (peanut butter, milk, etc) to my shakes and IT worked wonders immediately. I noticed I became curvier almost instantly, along with my workout plan. Maca helps the body transform easier, and faster. The product itself doesn’t make you gain weight, which is great because it allows you to use it based on your own desired intention. How I use maca up?MUST ADD SUGAR !I’ve tried maca up without sugar and it taste like death (exaggeration). I also tried maca up in my vege smoothie, that was even worst (I now use protein and greens product in my photo for vege smoothies). I use maca up as a protein shake, I add milk, peanut butter, sugar, and whatever else I’m craving. I also, use maca up as a hot drink (which I prefer and highly recommend). The hot drinks helps the maca go down smoother. Which reminds me…Maca up is BEST used BLENDED!!!I tried to stir it up, hot, cold, whatever. It just wasn’t happening. There were so many lumps, and it tasted horrible (like drinking clumps of chalk) unsweetened. This is just my personal experience.

Love this powder! Nothing artificial-no sucralose or anything toxic that I can see. IT mixes well with anything I have tried it with and is a great protein supplement.

I have found this protein powder to be highly digestible, filling, and tasty. I tend to eat mostly fruits and vegetables so my taste buds are accustomed to whole foods. That said, this is a bit sweet but I blend it with water and a frozen banana for a frothy treat. My eyebrows were getting sparse and that is my signal for not having a sufficient amount of protein. Within a week of drinking one Maca Up drink a day, my eyebrows started to fill in. Two to three weeks later, they are back to normal. Three times a week, I workout intensely and make sure to take this drink immediately following. IMO – Really good product.

I really like this product. Its has a good amount of protein, maca and no sugar. I add almond milk, a raw egg, flax oil, fruit and cinnamon or sometimes I add matcha green tea with ice. I can’t say anything about results because I also use Jarrow protein isolate. I like them both but this one is plant protein. I weight train so I mix my supplements in with these shakes. I’ve been using this product for some time and its working great. Some other protein powders have messed with my stomach but not these.

I just received my product yesterday. I will be direct. The flavor is very, very mild. If it didn’t actually say ‘Vanilla’ on the container, I don’t think I would have figured it out. The biggest issue I have is the quantity in the container. Some others have mentioned this. The container is only half full. I’m used to food containers being less than 100% full and I understand why. But, this ridiculous! I paid $26 and feel like I got ripped off. Next time, I’ll just but regular vanilla pea protein powder and the Maca separate. Better value, better taste.

I really wanted to like this because of the health benefits of Maca. I also needed an alternative protein source to switch out with my BioChem Organic Whey protein, which I love. I just get too much bloating and gas if I use Whey for all my protein needs during the day. This seemed like a good alternative. I just don’t like the chalky taste of this. It seems like I can taste the pea protein very strongly, or it’s the Maca powder; not sure which. It doesn’t blend from a shaker bottle very well and has a gritty taste. I will use this up, but don’t think I would go with this combo again. I might try just rice protein alone, and get some Maca caplets or powder separately.

I’ve tried several vegan protein powers (including Vega) and this is by far my favorite. Tastes great when mixed with Almond milk and some PB2. I’ve used it both as an after work-out shake or just to supplement my protein during the day. Have not tried it with water, so I can’t speak to that. My one wish is that the sodium wasn’t so high, but that seems to be a problem with all of these. I do like that it gives a little boost of energy with it, and that I don’t feel bloated afterwards.
