I initially started taking probiotics postpartum as I developed a number of digestive issues, the most bothersome being constant bloating. No matter what I ate or changes I made in my lifestyle I was miserable. When my doctor recommended to try probiotics I was on it almost immediately. I saw an improvement but most probiotics were too expensive for continuous use or would require multiple doses to take, which anyone with a busy life knows how big of a hassle that can be.Not long ago I ran into MyPeak PeakBiotic. This brand has been a life saver ever since! The price is very reasonable for 60 capsules making it a perfect candidate for a long term use. Better yet the quality and convenience blew me away. Just one easy to swallow pill per day comes equipped with everything: prebiotics (which many expensive brands I used in the past did not include), 14 selected 50 billion CFU probiotic strains that are vegan and gentle enough for even those of us with a sensitive gut, and blend of plant based polyphenols that function not only as prebiotics but also as antioxidants promoting healthy aging and healthy skin among many other benefits.Within the first few days of use I noticed a difference in my digestion, which only got more obvious with time. Learning more on the importance of maintaining a healthy gut, as that is where ~70% of our immune system resides, only motivates me to continue using this product on regular basis. I will for sure be reordering more. Thank you, MyPeak team!

I use PeakBiotic daily and my gut health has improved significantly. I’ve had a lifetime of IBS, but I’m happy to report I feel far less nausea and abdominal cramping than I did before I began taking them. If I eat something that might upset my digestive system, I’ll take a second. I’ve noticed a lot less bloating as well, which makes me really happy. This probiotic is vegan and shelf-stable (which means it doesn’t need to be refrigerated as several other probiotics do). The founders are vegan physicians, and the company gives back: with every purchase they support conservation projects around the world and contribute to Feeding America. I like feeling good about the businesses I purchase from, and of course I also like feeling good. I’d highly recommend this probiotic.

I initially got the myPEAK PeakBiotic to promote personal gut health, but I found out just how good this probiotic is in unforeseen events. To summarize the basics of what I think of this product, the probiotic profile and cost are the biggest benefit of this product. To start, my general experience of this probiotic was pretty average until my Dad was required to take a probiotic. I took this probiotic daily, and it seemed to really help me feel regular. I generally was pretty happy with the product though I thought that it was a little expensive since I was as familiar with the cost of probiotics. My thoughts of this probiotic all changed once my father had gotten an infection and was required to take antibiotics. Upon his doctor’s recommendation, my Dad was highly recommended to take antibiotics to protect his stomach and other organs from the effects of the antibiotics. Looking at the probiotic that my dad had purchased, he was paying close to $41 for an antibiotic with only one probiotic strain, compared to the PeakBiotic, which included the one strain found in the other along with six other strains! With all that being said, this probiotic has an excellent profile of probiotics, and it has a fairly good price. Along with the fair experience I have had with it, my dad has also really liked taking this probiotic even after he has recovered from his infection.

I was looking for an all natural probiotic and myPeak PeakBiotic is that indeed. With other brands of probiotics you usually have to take 3 a day. But with myPeak, just one a day. No bloating or gas, which is perfect. And it’s a two month supply, which is worth the money.

When I ordered this I saw that it was a high CFU vegan probiotic and that was enough for me to want to give it a try. It was only after I got it when I realized what a gem this product is.Finding vegan probiotics is tough. A lot of times probiotics are not strictly vegan and cultured on dairy and may have trace dairy in the product, or even something like yogurt extract outright in some cases. I have been burned by these kinds of probiotics and it sucks to deal with.Another challenge with probiotics is low CFU or a high cost for a reasonable CFU. I think that 50 billion, especially for one pill, is pretty high, and super reasonable at this price and amount, as you get two months worth. All of this would make it a good buy but it doesn’t stop there. In addition to all of this, they manage to pack L-Glutamine, Quercetin, and some other goodies into each pill. Those two were part of my daily routine anyway. It’s so rare to find one pill that has everything you need from a quality source! So that’s the other thing I want to get to – quality. This company really takes things seriously. You can see that in that they don’t even use junk binders like magnesium sterate etc and opt for a more expensive but safer binder in the capsules. The company is science based and has medical professionals involved and it shows. Their customer service is outstanding. I posted a somewhat snarky comment on their other supplement as they were saying it was vegan but didn’t say the D3 source. A lot of supplements will sketchily say their products are vegan only to include D3 from lanolin – sheep wool grease…So yeah, I have trust issues with supplements and have been burned before. But the company responded right away and clarified that it was indeed sourced from lichen! To be clear there’s no D3 in THIS supplement but I’m just speaking to the quality of their customer support. As always my actual review for how the probiotic works isn’t too interesting as I generally don’t respond very strongly to probiotics but I’m taking them more seriously now as part of my quest for long term gut repair, and this supplement has so many gut repair things packed into it it’s made my regimen easier and I can’t complain with that! I have no ill effects from taking this. You can see Quercetin is in the pills due to the yellow color. They are new on the scene but I’m really excited about this company. I would love to see them offer 6 month supplies and stuff like that. This supplement and their other cognitive one really seem to be top notch and I can’t wait to see what they have in store!

This includes a few key nutrients you don’t usually see in probiotic supplements so you can take less capsules because you’re combining a few supplements into one. Besides a very good CFU count and strain variety, this includes quercetin, pantothenic acid, bioperine, and a few other things that help with inflammation, good gut health, and overall cellular health. The only reason I removed one star is the silly marketing gimmick the company does over their fillers: Nu-Flow and Nu-Mag. These are just excuses to use unnecessary fillers that are usually listed as rice flour and magnesium stearate and have no nutritional value or benefit (their special patented labeling does not mean they’ve improved on these ingredients). They just allow the company to fill the capsules with bulk and inert flowing agents to allow their machines to encapsulate smoothly. They changed the name to make their fillers sound superior but it’s the same old way for a company to cut corners. There are plenty of probiotic supplements that do not rely on these fillers and in turn deliver a superior, more concentrated product.

These probiotics worked great.

First, an allergy warning, this has black pepper. I was quite surprised a few years back to learn how common this allergy is. Fortunately it doesn’t affect me, because taking bioperene (black pepper extract) appears to have a number of potential health benefits. I think the ideal dose is closer to 5mg (I once took a mens health supplement that contained 10mg), but this has 2.5mg of bioperene which is a good start. On the other ingredients, my doctors general recommendation for probiotics is 20 billion CFU daily, and a blend of at least 7 strains. This has about double that – 50 billion per veg cap, and 14 strains. So not only does this have a tremendous blend of probiotics, and loaded with other impressive ingredients as well. Please note that in cases of irritable bowel, leaky gut, etc, a qualified physician (usually a functional or integrative doctor, like a certified CFMP) may do some lab work and prescribe a specific type of probiotic. But for the rest of us, for general health, this MyPeak supplement seems a very good approach.Even though they say it’s shelf stable, I would still refrigerate it. I’ve paid much more for probiotics with much less in them, so I think this is a good value.

I have to say I was more than pleasantly surprised by the quality of this probiotic. It has many strains which is great, I mean our guts are not supposed to be populated by just one or two stains. I am very happy with Peak’s choices in strains, like including infantis and plantarum, and even more happy to see gasseri! I am not a fan of casei as it can be a little aggressive, but I will overlook that since it comes with so many other great strains. Next, on to the other ingredients. Peak really did a good job choosing prebiotics to feed these strains. Yes they used FOS which is kind of standard, but they also added artichoke which is a great prebiotic for anaerobic strains that we can’t get in supplements that we need to try to encourage more growth of. That and the polyphenol from pomegranate is also a great food for great gut bugs. Peak also states that this is soy free meaning the quercetin is not soy derived, so I was really psyched about that as well. In addition to the prebiotics and the quercetin they also added l-glutamine which is supposed to help rebuild a permeable intestinal lining. To top it all off this product is made in the US. I just can’t express how impressed with this probiotic supplement I am. Will definitely be buying it again.
