So far the product seems to be working. I have tendinitis in my right knee to the point that if I try to run I get a aggravating sharp pain. I’ve been taking this product for 5 days, and initially was taking the recommended dosage the first 2 days. I didn’t notice anything at first, so I doubled the dosage for the next 3 days. I played basket ball and my knee was as sore as quickly as usual within the first 2 games. I will take the product for another week and post if I see if this product has a long term healing effect. But hopefully with the way I’m feeling now, this product keeps helping with the nagging inflammation I’ve been having.I’ll come back and leave an update by next Saturday!Review Update (6/29/2015)I’ve been using for over a week now, and I can testify that majority of the pain in my knees have gone. I haven’t been sore getting up first thing in the morning, and I’ve actually played basketball with limited pain problems. I did stop most of my jumping and running activities over the course of the last 10 days (something I’ve done before and still felt pain) just to see if there was any difference. I must say that outside of squeezing my knee in certain areas just to see if those areas still felt pain (which they did, just not as much as usual). I will say that my knees felt considerably better, to the point that as of 6/27/15 I played 5 games of basketball and didnt feel any discomfort until around the end of the 4th game. I’m sure the inflammation probably kicked in, but I used to feel that pain during the second game I played in the previous weeks before. I believe other than going under the knife, this is the best alternative I’ve had. Better than Motrin, Ibprofen, Aleeve, and even the 800 mg pain killers I used to get from my doctor.

I have been taking this supplement for a duration of four weeks. The last several days is when I was able to safely say that the Turmeric is making a difference. I’ve been on aniti-depressant meds for about 7 years now. The Turmeric may not be able to replace the medication that I’m currently taking, but at this point I can safely say that it is a wonderful addition to the things that I’m already doing to manage my depression and anxiety. I also have been doing yoga religiously for four years now. I exercise and am very conscious of what I eat. I will continue to use the Turmeric due to the noticeable life it has given me and consider it an integral part of my current management tool set. I’m also thrilled that this supplement has not had any accompanying side-effects. I have taken it with and without food and have not had any nausea or digestive discomfort.I chose the Sports Research brand of supplement for several reasons. It makes a point of noting on the label that it is free of Gluten, GMO’s, soy and stearates. Gluten is a huge concern. My mother has violent reactions to gluten and it commonly used in many supplements and medications. Gluten hides in many medications, even pharmacists have little idea as to which products many contain it. The ingredients are right on the label and there are only a few. In my opinion, the fewer the better, as there is less chance of the supplement containing something that may not agree with my body. Minimal fillers and the ones that are used are natural such as safflower oil. Many of the other supplements did not have a similar composition, or did not clearly state the ingredients. The only thing that I would like to see is some more information on the company website regarding their manufacturing process and quality control. That’s a minor gripe and probably outside the scope of this review as this review pertains to the product and not the company website. The bottle is clearly labeled and includes all the information that I would hope to find regarding the contents. At this point in time this will be my ongoing choice of Turmeric supplement and the brand that I will recommend to my family and friends. Especially since my family all share a sensitivity to gluten and a concern over the quality and purity of the things that we put into our bodies.

A few days after Thanksgiving (2016) I started having pain in my back and left shoulder and had stabbing pain in my left forearm. This went from what seemed like soreness to full blown intense pain in about four days. My doctor thought I was having muscle spasms so he prescribed Flexeril and Percocet to help with the pain. During Christmas, I was on vacation in FL and had to go to the E.R. twice because of the pain. On my second trip, they did a CAT scan on me and told me I had Degenerative Joint Disease. They prescribed two meds for nerve pain. After returning home I saw an orthopedic surgeon who prescribed me four different meds, sent me for an MRI and referred me to a spine surgeon. The spine clinic reviewed my MRI and told me they would recommend a procedure where I’m injected (guided by x-ray) in the areas suspected of causing pain. My wife had this procedure and I heard her screaming from the waiting room! Anyway, I started taking 6-8 coconut oil capsules along with my other supplements (krill oil, Vitamin C) and in a few days time my pain was gone!! No Joke, Pain Gone!!! I have now switched to the Turmeric Curcumin capsules to add the benefit of the turmeric. I stopped taking all of the pain meds and still no pain!! This past Saturday night (25 Mar 2017) I forgot to take my evening capsule, then forgot again Sunday morning. During church, my back started to ache and I could feel that pain coming back to my forearm. When I got home I took a Turmeric Curcumin capsule and two coconut oil capsules (both Sports Research). By this morning my pain was gone again! I thank God for being able to get off the drugs…now I need something natural to help me lower my blood pressure and cholesterol! Let me add, I am in no way affiliated with Sports Research and I have never been approached by anyone to give a product review. However, I would do it in a heartbeat because of my results!! I initially went with this brand because of the large number of total reviews and the number of positive reviews. Feel free to ask any questions.UPDATE: 26 April 2017: I now take one Turmeric Curcumin capsule a day and two coconut oil capsules a day. Seems like it’s working better now that I’ve been taking it for awhile. Please understand that this will not work for everyone. My wife also takes it and she doesn’t get the same results that I do, although her pain is reduced. I just bought more and will continue to do so as long as it works.

I’ve had this for a couple of weeks now. I love the ingredients. However, if I take two of these in a day, even staggered out, I get the gods awful worst heartburn, and it never stops. There is nothing in these capsules that would cause heartburn, I’m not allergic to any of the ingredients. I’ve tried them with food, without food, drinking milk, drinking extra water, eating bread, etc. I can’t sleep it hurts so bad. It causes no intestinal distress, just heartburn. So, that’s why I am taking away one star. When I stop taking them, it takes about 18 hours to all the raging flames in my chest and throat to subside. When I take two again, it’s back with a vengeance. So, I am taking one a day, and doing ok with it. I will try the two pills again in a couple of weeks. For now I am going splits with my elderly dog, one for him and one for me. I can really see it’s making a huge difference in him, he is ancient, arthritic, blind, deaf, and hobbles around in a bit of pain. Since starting him on the one pill a day, (just mixed in his food) he’s awake and moving around a lot more, he’s happier, his tail is wagging often, and giving indications that he is not experiencing his usual levels of pain. I love the addition of the coconut oil, since I have been supplementing him with that as well.I do wonder what the issue is. I don’t think it’s the bioperine, because the last supplement I tried had 2.5mg bioperine in it. Very annoying, but I like these pills. They are HUGE, but go down very easily, and I am one of those that tend to choke on horsepills, lol.Update Dec 31st 2016. I did continue on the one pill a day for that couple of weeks, and went to the 2 pills. It worked out just fine. No more heartburn. I think I just needed to get used to them. They worked great, my pain levels decreased as my inflammation reduced. I could skip my celebrex and take these and would be totally ok.I also used them to brush with! I could get 2-3 brushings out of each gelcap. The taste is not good at all, lol. Stains everything in sight, so be really careful when you do it, and be prepared to clean it up quickly. My teeth are whiter than ever. I could see a difference with the first try and I used strips and those “whitening” toothpastes with zero success. Because of that, I keep doing it once or twice a week.

So, I ordered this because it was listed as a natural supplement for depression, and I can’t take St. Johns Wort because of other meds. Fish oil supposedly helps with depression, but it hasn’t helped with that. I’m not diagnosed with depression, but I suspected it because I’m on Chantix (quit smoking pill) which can cause it and my symptoms started when I started taking it. My symptoms are extreme sleepiness, lack of motivation, fatigue, and brain fog.The turmeric helped with every single one of those symptoms within 2 days. I feel normal again and don’t want to sleep 24 hours a day. I’m ready to tackle life all over again.I can’t say if it helps with pain or not because I’m already on other supplements that help with that, and I will list my supplements below because I know that can be a factor in my experience.I will say to make sure you eat with this. Directions say one pill 2-3 times a day, and 2 does just fine for me (I’m 5’1 and 130lbs, Female). The capsule is about the size of those larger vitamin E capsules, so keep that in mind if you have issues swallowing pills (I do not, but I know some people do).I will be ordering this again, especially since I notice an immediate return in my symptoms if I skip 1 day of taking these. Your burps can have a weird taste sometimes, and I think it’s a natural detox because it causes some (not painful) gas. Like a lot of gas (lol) but nothing that’ll be uncomfortable. My other supplements (most are from SR also):SR Total Omega 3 capsSR Multi Collegen caps (pills not powder)SR Garlic OilSR CLA (before workouts)Oregano Oil from some other brand (SR doesn’t make one)Multi VitaminI take all according to directions and daily.

UPDATED 5-Star Review:I originally bought and starting using this product in May 2016. It seemed to help with some toe swelling issues I was having. Unbeknownst to me, however, was that it was reducing swelling elsewhere, too! I have had a really tight budget for about 2 months now, so I did not re-order this Turmeric at the beginning of October. Well … since then I have been struggling with really severe migraines. I finally broke down and went to the doctor and then a chiropractor. The diagnosis: inflammation in my neck/head! It suddenly clicked for me that I’ve not been taking the Turmeric. So, I started up again, and guess what? While I still have headaches (I imagine it will take time to take full effect), the intensity is no where near as it was before. This stuff works!Original 4-Star Review:I have been taking this product for only 2 weeks, but I can already feel a difference. I don’t know what the problem is, but my toes become very swollen and painful quite often. I’ve tried to pinpoint the cause, but I’ve been unsuccessful. They usually hurt me 3-4 days out of a week. Since taking this Turmeric Curcumin supplement, the pain has decreased. I still feel it, but it is more manageable and it seems to be continuing to improve. I’ve taken 1 star off because the decrease in pain is not so significant that I “love” the product. Maybe it will continue to get even better with further use; if it does, then at that point, I will upgrade my review to a 5-star. Good product and worth taking a chance to see if it gives you relief of pain.

I’ve only been taking this for about 2 weeks so I can’t grade the efficacy. However it is easy to swallow but the capsule is large. It is well packaged, the dosage that I wanted and will have to reevaluate in a. Month or two.
