Another great product that you can purchase using EBT. If you’re health conscious, but you’re also on a tight budget, and/or need to use Ebt, this is the go to for spirulina. It makes a great food coloring, and good for smoothies. I’ve bag last a very long time because you only use a teaspoon or less.

Taste sucks. I mix it with fruit. But it makes my skin so nice. I have energy. I haven’t made it in five days and I feel the difference which is what sparked the review. Drop the powder in on a DRY spoon. Do not – mix it with the spoon. It clumps bad and sticks to it like glue. Mix your fruit first. Have it blended and add the spirulina ensuring you don’t wet that spoon lol. I try to get the powder in the middle and fold the fruit mix over the spirulina so when I mix it – it does not poof everywhere lol. It works wonderfully as a mask too! Be prepared for a bright green face! Where old clothes when you do it! Works wonders on rashes too.

CONSUMING THIS PRODUCT CAN EXPOSE YOU TO LEAD. Photo of product is cropped so that you can’t see the warning on the package label before making a purchase. Very misleading and dangerous. This item isn’t eligible for return either.

For the love of all that is good, please DO NOT leave this bag anywhere your dogs can find it. They WILL tear it open, repaint your kitchen in turqoise-green, and spend the next three days violently clearing their digestive tracts onto the floors you mopped four times. Everything you own that it comes in contact with will forever have that odd bit of green that comes off on your hands no matter how well you try to clean it. The mess this stuff makes when spilled will revisit you in your nightmares. For some reason this stuff is absolutely irresistible to dogs, they even ate the foil packaging. I can’t say i know what the product tasted like, as i never actually got to use it. It looked like a nice uniform texture and color though. When you get this home, don’t even take it into your house without setting it in another container. Maybe TWO containers – that way if the outer hull is breached you don’t have a leak. Seriously, this stuff is like paint pigment. Quarantine it.

This is high quality USDA Organic spirulina from Starwest Botanicals, a trusted brand I’ve used for years. I am SO happy it’s USDA organic! That’s what I’m always looking for. I use it in green smoothies.The powder is in the bag ABOVE the zipseal line. As it is an extremely fine powder, you must open and use carefully. It does spread a very fine mist of powder when you open the bag, so 1st try tapping spirulina down, or that too will fly out of the bag. I open the mason jar I keep it in and use a measuring spoon. I leave the rest tightly sealed in the bag. So it does a little bit of flying but that’s inherent in how fine it is. Highly recommended.

I got this to improve my health and to add to my smoothies. I’m a little disappointed. I assumed an Amazon choice product would be good quality but when I got this, it has a proposition warning on it saying consuming this product can expose you to lead which is known to cause birth defects and reproductive harm. I tried to return this but it doesn’t quality for returns. I don’t understand why this warning doesn’t show up on the Amazon picture. I think this is misleading… I’m also turned off by the generic packaging that doesn’t say anything about the company. I’ll use it but will never buy it again. It also has a fishy smell.

I thought it was good deal for the price. But the flavor was not my choice but what to do I except from eating algae plants? 😂 it can’t taste like candy.That’s my only complaint probably more of personal preference. 👍
