She notes that mushroom coffee may be an effective solution for those seeking to limit their caffeine intake and improve sleep quality, with adaptogenic herbs added for additional benefit. As with anything new, it’s always wise to consult your physician prior to trying something different. As mushrooms can interact with medications or health conditions, starting off slowly can help avoid allergic reactions in some. Starting small and slowly building up to larger serving sizes will minimize any potential for an adverse reaction and ensure you receive an appropriate dosage of mushroom coffee products. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should avoid them.
