How to Make Mushroom Tea
Mushroom tea is an aromatic beverage brewed using various species of mushroom powder and water to produce an aromatic beverage that can be consumed both at home or while on the move.
One of the main advantages of this beverage is that it contains no caffeine and is much healthier than traditional cups of coffee. It also serves to relieve stress, relax and boost energy. Common types of mushrooms used in this beverage are Reishi, Cordyceps and Maitake mushrooms which all possess adaptogenic properties and help balance your body.
Another advantage of mushroom tea is that it can easily be customized with different flavors and ingredients, from lemon and honey to natural herbs and even the ubiquitous mushroom aroma, making your cup much more palatable to those who might otherwise find its earthy, musky flavors too earthy for their tastes. In addition, you have your pick of green or black tea bags which can usually be found at local stores.
Many people enjoy drinking mushroom tea before heading off to work in the morning as it helps wake them up gently while giving an energy boost that is less intense than coffee. Others take it in the evening or on weekends in order to unwind and relax.
For optimal mushroom tea preparation, the ideal approach is using loose-leaf tea with your preferred type of mushroom. First, boil some water and set a large cup aside for steeping; once finished brewing is complete, use a strainer or something similar to filter out mushroom pieces from your tea brew before drinking it all!
Once your water is boiling, it’s time to add the mushrooms. This can be done either manually or via tea infuser; whatever suits your preferences best. When using psilocybin mushrooms it is essential that they be ground into a fine powder before being added to hot water in order to ensure maximum absorption by your tea and maximize effectivity of its effects.
Once your mushrooms have been added to the tea, allow them to steep for approximately 10-15 minutes in hot water before cooling back down to room temperature before drinking. As with most remedies, leaving it longer can have more profound results.
If you want to enhance the flavor of your mushroom tea, adding sugar or other sweeteners may make the experience more palatable for those who don’t enjoy its earthy, skunky, or slightly bitter taste.
