Is New England Coffee Organic?
New England Coffee Co.’s commitment to sustainability includes replacing its single-serve pods with BPI-certified commercially compostable plant-based mesh pods as an effort to decrease plastic waste. PurPod’s new pods provide the same aroma and fresher taste of their predecessor, yet feature materials more eco-friendly materials, including an outer lid made of commercially compostable material; an upcycled ring made from coffee bean skins (chaff) as well as other compostable material; and a mesh filter constructed from plant-based materials. All single serve flavors such as Breakfast Blend, Blueberry Cobbler, Carmel Macchiato and Hazelnut Creme can now be purchased in this pod format.
