A farm certified as bird-friendly meets rigorous environmental and regulatory standards that safeguard forest cover while limiting pesticide usage that harm birds, such as this coffee. Furthermore, purchases of this blend directly support Bird Studies Canada (BSC) efforts to preserve migratory songbird habitat both abroad and here in Ontario (10 percent of sales from this blend are donated directly to BSC).

Phil Robertson and Sebastian Sztabzyb first introduced Phil & Sebastian Coffee Roasters at Calgary Farmers Market in 2007, offering subscriptions, roasterie tours, coffee-making classes and tastings. Both men are engineers by training; therefore their approach combines traditional methods with cutting edge technologies in procuring and roasting coffee beans.
