Review of Shilajit Pure Himalayan Organic Shilajit Resin Supplement- Gold+ Grade with 85+ Trace Minerals with 75% Fulvic Acid, Overall Energy & Immune Support, Pure Shilajit Resin for Men & Women, 50g @ $39.99.This is the second brand of this product that I have tried in this form. Hopefully I am not the only person that had not heard of Shilajit until recently. This is in resin form and touts many health benefits such as boosting energy and stamina, helping bones and joints, good for metabolism and digestion, balancing hormone and electrolyte levels, reducing fatigue and more. Much of what I found online had me expecting a terrible taste. This particular product, and much of what I researched, was the resin form. This can be mixed with a drink or smoothie for example, or you can let it dissolve under your tongue. From what I have read, dissolving under the tongue helps this absorb much more effectively and quickly.The appearance of this is sort of like a very dark colored honey. It didn’t really have much of an odor. It arrives with a small silver colored utensil for measuring the amount of resin (pea sized dose, which they say is 300mg, is what they recommend). There are really no instructions on how to extract what you want as far as dosage. The bottle has instructions for dosage amounts, first a 300mg dose and then another 300mg later that day/evening. The suggested daily intake is 600mg. I just dipped the utensil into the bottle and twirled it around to not drip any elsewhere and put it under my tongue. The other I tried tasted better than this brand, tasting slightly bitter, but not terrible by any means. In my opinion the taste was almost like caramel. This utensil I did not like as it is slick and being so small is difficult to handle without dropping it. This resin is stiffer or maybe thicker than the other one I have tried. It’s quite sticky too. So far, I feel as though I might have a little more energy after taking this. This seems that it should last a while since the dosage is small compared to the size of the jar’s contents.This is a mystery as to the manufacturer when going by the product’s box and jar. I don’t like this part of it at all. I deducted 1 star for not including any information on the product packaging as I feel this is important, along with the bitter taste and slippery utensil. If this works as claimed, I feel the price is reasonable for the amount you get at this dosage. Time will tell on the benefits just as is the case with most supplements.
