Description
Chaga (Inonotus obliquus) is a mushroom, a parasitic carpophore that looks like the charred remains of burned wood on the side of a birch tree (sometimes growing on Elm and Alder, but Birch is its favorite). The parasite enters the tree through a ‘wound’ in the bark of a mature tree. It then grows under the bark until it erupts in a deeply cracked, black charcoal like extension. It usually takes another 5-7 years for it to fully mature, at which point it falls to the forest floor, most times killing the host tree in the process.

Wild harvested Chaga (Inonotus obliquus) whole mushroom dried. Origin: Ukraine. Other ingredients: Vegetable palm glycerin, crystal clear water. Contains NO: Alcohol, GMO, gluten, artificial colors, heavy metals, preservatives, pesticides, fertilizers.
Directions
Shake well before use. 20-30 drops, three times a day or as directed by your practitioner. The best way to use liquid herbal glycerites is to put the suggested amount in a glass of water, tea, or juice and drink the entire contents. Glycerites can also be administered directly into the mouth without the assistance of water however some glycerites are unpalatable which is why most people prefer to dilute them into a beverage.

I checked with several resellers before settling on HawaiiPharm for tincture -easy to use when away from home. Flavor is like that of mild tea, just drop 20-30 drops in 6-8 oz warm water and drink it down. Best to take earlier in the day, otherwise it may keep you awake! Better than coffee or any caffeinated drink because its effects are quite different than caffeine. If you’ve ever used ginseng tincture, or Minotaur+, you may understand what I’m saying. Brain fog is gone. Mind is keen. Stamina increased. It’s only been a few days of using it, but it is already having a positive effect on my eczema, which I expect will go away completely after prolonged use.

My usual brand of Chaga extract was of of stock with all the supply chain disruption going on currently so I tried the Hawaii farm brand. I take my Chaga twice a day with just a little water. I have used three different brands over the last nine years. This formulations and one other one I used briefly are more diluted than my usual brand. This is noticeable both visually and taste. Since there are no double blind studies or chemical analysis down to the molecular level it is inconclusive what this means. I will stay with the more concentrated formula in the future.
