I really like that this powder doesn’t make everything purple and keeps all gluten free cookies cakes breads I made looks great!

A holistic vet recommended psyllium husk powder to help a cat get a little needed fiber. Traditionally, vets recommended canned pumpkin. While some pets won’t will eat the pumpkin, many don’t. Pumpkin turns out to be more expensive and wasteful, because it’s perishable and we would up throwing out most of a can. Psyllium husk powder is much easier to work with and we have not had problems with animals rejecting it.We have pets and we foster rescue animals. We use this psyllium husk powder for the few that need it. If you want to try it, I suggest you discuss it with a vet first to see if it is appropriate and if so, how much you can use. If a cat has symptoms of needing more fiber, that may suggest a medical problem.A little bit goes a long way. In our case, one kitty takes 1/8 teaspoon mixed in her dinner daily. For that cat, the vet had recommended starting at 1/8 teaspoon per day, and if that did not help, we could gradually increase the dose in small increments up to one teaspoon per day. Lucky cat and us–1/8 does the job. Another cat, that is petite actually takes 1/16 teaspoon daily.TIP: To measure this and other products, we bought tiny stainless measuring spoons that go down to 1/32 teaspoon on Amazon. They were very affordably priced.

I like that this powder is super fine, unlike others that are super grainy. It is well worth the money. The one very important tip I can give is follow the instructions exactly and drink immediately after stirring or shaking. Do not let it sit, Otherwise, it will thicken like quicksand and will not be drinkable without choking (or adding A LOT more water to it). The taste is very mild, which is natural. I drink it with water- not a sugary fruit juice. If you mix it in with juice, you won’t taste it at all or very little, depending on your taste buds. I will likely buy this again when I finally run out of it. Due to the size, that will take a while, which I am happy about since it is a bit pricey (but worth it for purity and texture).

I can’t believe the manufacturer put “flavor” as a feature to rate… psyllium husk tastes like crap. it’s awful. I take mine in OJ to mask the taste. Value for money is OK. I have purchased this twice: once it was great: very finely ground and it mixed great (I use a cocktail shaker and just shake the heck out of a tablespoon worth in OK) into a smooth consistency. The second time it didn’t mix as well and I have lumps when I mix it… so it is a bit inconsistent. But it is a good price so I will most likely keep buying it. And as far is psyllium husk goes, it works great, makes you poop, and I strongly encourage embracing the benefits of a fiber diet.

There’s no pleasant way to put this: I couldn’t poop properly and I didn’t understand why. I’m talking 20 minute sessions, several times a day, 4-5 flushes each. Googled “why can’t I get my a** clean” and someone recommended Metamucil. Metamucil has sugar/maltodextrin which affects ketosis, so I opted for straight up organic psyllium husk instead, which is the main active ingredient in Metamucil.I’ve been taking this for two weeks and let me tell you: I’m living my best life now, folks. Perfect poops. Every. Single. Time. I’ve literally gotten so much time back, no more extra showers or “maintenance wipes,” and I feel amazing. I’ve also seen accelerated weight loss. 2tsp in the morning mixed with cold water & Mio, 2tsp again in the evening. Flavor tastes like what you think husk would taste like, but the Mio masks quite well. Texture takes some getting used to, but it’s not terrible. I do not recommend putting it in coffee; it makes for terrible flavor and texture. My life is forever changed. I will never stop taking this stuff.UPDATE: I’m on my third bag of this. Bag 1 was great, bag 3 is great, but bag 2 seemed like it wasn’t ground finely enough. It was much more grainy & chunky than the other two bags, which made it’s consumption unpleasant. I’m glad the third bag is as it should be. Still highly recommend the product.

I heard about this product on tiktok and wanted to try it because I needed more fiber and wanted to suppress my hunger. I’m drinking a full glass before breakfast and dinner. It didn’t come with a scoop so the one you see in the photos is mine. I mixed 12 oz of water with half a tablespoon and didn’t get the thick consistency, so I tossed in another half scoop which you see in the last photo and it was pretty thick but not too thick. I was still able to chug it down. Now flavor wise I don’t really taste anything. 🤷♀️ It has a little flavor but in my honest opinion it’s not horrible. It says a serving size is 1 tsp and I took more than that. I’ll update again if I have any bad side effects or issues.

Really horrible/difficult mixing with water. I’ve tried lots of psyllium powder products, this is by far the worst. Even worse, because it was sent to CA the company is required to apply this label. (See photo) learned my lesson, will never buy from this company again.

I bought this for my cat who has been having constipation issues. My vet recommended it.I did not know anything about the product beforehand, so didn’t know what to expect. I had planned on also drinking this myself, since it’s supposed to be so good for you.Well, I had no idea this would taste so terrible or have such an odd texture. I’m not able to drink it. Even just 1/3 teaspoon added to a huge cup of fruit punch-I still couldn’t tolerate it. I have texture issues, so this just sets off my gag reflex almost immediately. While mixing a tiny amount with water and chicken broth, then pouring over wet food, I’ve been able to give it to my cat. I can’t tell that it’s helping him at all though. It’s been a couple months and I see no difference in his bowels. I had better luck giving him Miralax.I honestly can’t recommend this product to anyone, unless you’re already familiar with it and don’t mind the gross texture and earthy taste. It turns liquids into a gelly-like substance, which I find absolutely disgusting.I like that the product is all natural. And I guess it’s a decent amount for the price, compared to others I’ve seen for sale on Amazon. It comes in a nice resealable bag.I gave it 3 stars, because my own taste is subjective. It’s an all natural unflavored product, so of course it won’t taste great. I had to take off stars because it’s difficult to dissolve into liquids as a lot of it remains stuck to the inside of the cup and if you don’t use it very fast, it turns into jelly (which is then garbage imo).I’d have given it only 1 star, but it’s supposed to be healthy and it’s all natural. Plus it comes in a resealable bag, which is nice. And it was priced reasonably. If you’re someone who already uses this product, then this would be a good buy for you. But if you’re like me and never used it, you might be in for a surprise.

I like that it is organic but I don’t like that it has measurable amounts of lead or other chemicals. It defeats the purpose for me. I would have returned it if I noticed that.
