Or gain is a great product. We use both the powder, and the premixed drink boxes. I like the taste, compared to other powders I have tried. It is not a DQ shake, but for a vegan protein shake it is good. I only mix it in smoothies with frozen fruits, and fresh produce. So the powder only provides a little sweetness and a lot of protein. If you hate all protein powders, you will probably hate this one too. Maybe if you hate all protein powders try drinking smoothies with just fruits and veggies, and get your protein from some other healthy source. For protein powders, I prefer vegan protein. I get plenty of meat based protein in my diet, but whey protein is harder for me to digest, and process. Vegan protein powder gives me a more balanced amino acid profile, I get the aminos I would otherwise miss in my animal based diet, of milk, eggs, and lean proteins. As a male, I try to avoid soy proteins, and I’m cautious of legumes. Vegan proteins are great, but you want to get the correct vegan proteins, for your needs, goals, and limitations. Or gain uses high quality, safe, balanced vegan sourced proteins.I realize there is a subset of people that say why smoothies? Just eat food. I was not 326 lbs because I was eating healthy foods. I was in the camp of people that thought fruit was a waste of calories. I mean come on, 2 apples have the same calories as a candy bar. But what I have learned is that two apples will nourish and fuel your body, leaving you satisfied. Sugar just trashes your hormones and metabolism. Calories are not the only thing that made me fat. Excess calories from poor nutrition made me fat. Protein smoothies were my baby step in learning how to eat the right stuff. I knew what to eat. I just did not want to do it. Protein smoothies taste good to me. They helped me to learn how to like eating fruit. I now eat whole fruits in place of junk food. I also eat a lot of fruits in smoothies with Orgain powder. My overall review is fairly glowing, and I will let my 5 star rating stand, as I have lost over 100 lbs. The positive benefit of losing 100 lbs and keeping that weight off out weighs anything else for me. So maybe my thoughts are biased.Protein smoothies and an otherwise terrible diet will not help you lose 100 lbs. But protein smoothies, and education may help you learn your triggers to bad eating, and they may help you compensate for cravings, and learn new cravings. It will be a struggle, and it will take time.I do not use this powder in a shaker cup so I can not say how it does with those. I do use it as a component in a fairly complex smoothie with 3 or 4 types of fruit and some greens and juices. My smoothies are not low calorie. They are good calorie with great nutrition. They are not a full meal replacement, but they are close. My smoothies run about 300 calories per serving. I consider a meal 500 calories, for my size and activity level. The nice thing about a smoothie is you can pour what you need and share the rest with your family. My go to smoothies recipe usesThe blendtec designer 625 blender with 4 sided jarAny powerful blender will work4 oz of POM juice

plus frozen strawberries, blueberries, and fresh green baby spinach.this will make a thick smoothie, probably too thick for a ninja blender (been down that road) more liquid will help thin the smoothie if your blender can’t handle it. When I had a ninja, the liquid had to be filled to the top of the greens at the least.3 scoops orgain vanilla protein powder (that makes 33 grams of protein for the full pitcher of smoothie)2 handfuls of fresh organic power greens, baby spinach will work great too.2 handfuls of organic frozen strawberries1 handful frozen blackberry, raspberry, blueberry comboThis will make a full jar of smoothie. 48 ounces I think. This is the family size recipie. Don’t drink this all your self!! As a meal, this will feed two people. As a snack it will feed 6.My life is great now at 215 lbs, and I am active. I can play with my kids and ride my bike to work. I could not do that at 326 lbs.Orgain protein powder helped me. It tasted good enough to make a new lifestyle possible. It has good organic ingredients. It is a great component in my organic smoothies, that we still have several times per week. Not everyone has the same goals, or problems I had. Your journey will be different.Update:For the best price, what I have found is that I can order 5 of these every other month, in the subscribe and save program. I use the Amazon store card. that gets me another 5% off. So I get 20% off each jug I order just by making sure I have 5 items shipped every time I get a subscribe and save. If you end up liking this product as much as I do, and don’t use as much, you can order 5 and then skip months until it is all gone. I think subscribe and save even has an every 6 months option. Doing it this way gives you five for the price of four. That is how I get the best deal. But other than that I pay the same price anyone else would, and those discounts are available to anyone. Good luck and happy smoothing!I think the key is to identify healthy choices and do them consistently. Protein smoothies can be an expensive way to get healthy. So using them as a supplement, may be a better choice for many. And eating healthy foods will be your best overall choice.Getting exercise is also a great idea.My hope with this review, is to encourage and inspire someone to make healthy changes. To show them that someone else has had struggles (and I still struggle, I wont even mention how badly I did this past holiday season. But with effort and consistency, there can be hope. Maybe you wont lose 100 lbs. but maybe your clothes will fit better, and you will be able to be a little more active. I remember how happy I was that my size 42 jeans were not tight any more. Now I can wear 34’s, and I have gotten down to 32’s when I got my weight down to 206. But so far I have not found that weight very sustainable.

I’ve tried several protein shakes, and Orgain Organic Vegan Protein Powder in Vanilla Bean stands out for its taste. The vanilla bean flavor is better than other protein shakes I’ve tried, making it enjoyable to drink. I appreciate that it’s both vegan and organic, ensuring a healthy choice for my protein needs. It’s a solid source of protein, fitting well into my diet and supporting my fitness goals. The price point is reasonable, making it an affordable option for those looking for quality protein powder.Overall, Orgain Organic Vegan Protein Powder is a tasty, healthy, and afforadable protein option. Highly recommended!

My plant-based husband and I have been purchasing Orgain for a while now, but have mostly stuck with the classic vanilla for mixing into smoothies. As I’ve decided to start having a protein shake for breakfast every morning, I thought I’d switch it up and try the fruity cereal flavor.Reviews on “chemical sweetness,” the flavor being “too lemony,” and the texture being “gritty” made me nervous, but I was willing to try it. And I’m SO GLAD I did!! If it’s too sweet, you’re probably not using enough water/milk. If it’s “too lemony,” you must not remember what froot loop milk tastes like. If it’s too “gritty,” you’re not mixing it well enough. It dissolves for me every time. I do like to use a little more liquid than recommended. I think the container recommends 16 ounces of liquid for 2 scoops. I do more like 20 or 24 – 3/4 water, 1/4 milk most of the time.If you grew up liking fruity pebbles or froot loops, and you’re tired of plain vanilla and chocolate protein, give this one a try. It’s a little spendy, but it’s good-quality ingredients I trust, and it doesn’t give me any tummy discomfort or bloating like some others. Orgain fan for life.

My Mother taught us that “IF IT TASTES GOOD, SPIT IT OUT, AND IF IT TASTES BAD, IT’S GOOD FOR YOU”. LOL…. so all my life I knew that. Consequently, my expectations will remain LOW.Bought 4 of these to try out for about a month, to see how it reacts to my digestive tract.Have been on Protein Powders for over 12 years.Well about 2 months ago my everyday 12 year protein powder was re-designed into something I do not want. Price increased as well. SO on the lookout for something that works for me and a sensitive digestion system. Most of them either bind me up or cause the backdoor trots.Flavor helps in getting it swallowed, and when I have to add more Spices, or another Protein Powder to be able to swallow it…then it is LACKING.I daily add Ceylon Cinnamon and Nutmeg to any Protein Powder I drink for immune system aid. This Pumpkin Spice was really lacking. I had to also add King Arthurs CHAI baking Spice, and had to add 3 TBLS to 2 of the 1 lb containers. Mixed in a larger container, give it a good shake and this helped greatly. I can swallow it down, and get my supplements and pills down with it. THAT IS THE POINT.This protein powder doesn’t work well in keeping the Hunger down as my 12 Year did. I could actually keep busy during the day with high energy with no food til dinner. I never needed to feel like I needed an afternoon break or nap from a sugar issue down time. It was a GC Control and worked fantastic for 12 years. This Powder has a pretty good Stevia Aftertaste that I do not like. Since I bought 4 containers, I am stuck to finish them. Then will try something else.Honestly, it has to be difficult to be a “designer of protein powders” to try and Please the Masses and we the masses all have different taste buds, ideas, and digestive systems.

I have really bad sinus problems and so had to switch to all dairy free products. Though I have not been using this product very long I can confidently say that it does not trigger my sinuses. The original flavor is not boring and does enhances shakes, it is also very filling especially when blended with oats
Ken Patel –
The product is what it is, do your research and learn about protein. The flavor is the reason for the review.Fruity Cereal is absolutely awesome. If I want something sweet after dinner, or if I want my normal protein shakes to be less boring (I use unflavored whey with a bunch of supplements, it can be gross), then I add one scoop of this and it makes the shake taste great. Blends easily in a shaker bottle in water. No chemical taste or prominence of artificial flavors/sweeteners. Great product.

It’s good in fruit smoothies no doubt. However this requires 2 scoops for ONLY 21g of protein . (The scooper is large) it definitely has a strong taste. My smoothies consist of ice, pineapple, blueberries, strawberries, oranges, and fruit punch body armor zero ( which I had to add a lot of to wean out the gritty strong taste I also had to blend it well which is a must. Stirring and shaking this up is not enough ) I’m not a fan of this. I rather have a protein powder that has one scoop with 30g of protein per serving.,thinner and easier to blend without the gritty taste.I’m super picky with protein and their taste. If you’re not picky you’ll probably like it.
Sara Armstrong –
I add protein powder to my smoothies every morning but was getting tired of the vanilla Orgain overpowering whatever fruit I blended. I was pleasantly surprised with this one. The scent had me nervous – it smells quite sweet – but it does not add sweetness to whatever you’re blending it with. There IS a hint of earthiness which isn’t entirely surprising, and it does add a slight chalkiness as well, but overall it’s tolerable. Some have mentioned it is expensive – I disagree, and actually find it quite comparable and even more on the affordable side compared to other unflavored vegan proteins on the market.

I have tried most of the Orgain plant based powders. This one tastes exactly like Froot Loops, seriously. (And I even mix mine with just filtered water). This powder has more fiber than other flavors, due to the amount of rice protein in the mix. That being said, after you blend this stuff, if you closed your eyes, you would literally think you had blended a bowl of Froot Loops and put it in a glass. It is AMAZING. I’m on my second canister and it will be a staple in my house forever. Some of the other flavors are good, but not good enough to buy again. If you ate Froot Loops as a kid and liked them, prepare to have your mind blown.

I like to use this with fresh frozen fruits and yogurt and fruit juice. The powder is a little too sweet for my liking so I use it with tart fruits and juices. Not necessary to be so sweet. But seems like a good product digest well and has a pleasant vanilla taste.

I like this brand as it doesn’t give me the same side effect as whey protein. I decided to try a different flavor this time and it was eh. I was hoping for the Horchata flavor to taste a bit like a horchata powder but it ends up tasting like a pie crust. Bot necessarily bad, but now I feel like I have to add blueberries to make it taste good. I was hoping for just a “shake n go” flavor quality.

It’s a little spendy, but it’s good-quality ingredients I trust, and it doesn’t give me any tummy discomfort or bloating like some others. Orgain fan for life.
